Year 5

Brain Buddies
This week, the Kingston Mental Health Support Team have continued delivering our 'Brain Buddies' sessions, linked to our PSHE curriculum. The children have been exploring the fascinating world of neuroscience, learning about the different parts of our brain, including the 'thinking brain' and the 'survival brain'. They have been discovering how these parts of the brain work, how they can influence our emotions and how we respond and react to different situations. These sessions are helping children to develop a greater understanding of their feelings and the reasons behind their emotional responses, as well as supporting them to recognise how their brains can influence their behaviour. We look forward to continuing these valuable sessions throughout the remainder of the Autumn term!
