In Blossom Green, we have been learning the poem 'The Voices of Water' and highlighting the words that use onomatopoeia such as splash, crack, splosh and sip. We are going to learn the poem and perform it to others, then write our own version of the poem using onomatopoeia. 

In Blossom Red, we have been focusing on our new text 'The Lonely Sea Dragon' by Helen Dunmore. We have been learning how to use adjectives and expanded noun phrases in our writing to add more description. We independently wrote a description of the Lonely Sea Dragon. Then, we decided to write our own descriptions of a komodo dragon. Next week, we will be focusing on writing a thought diary about different characters.
