Blossom Green and Red

Year 6 Blossom Trip to Imperial War Museum

The Year 6 Blossom children enjoyed their trip to the Imperial War Museum this week. The children enjoyed the walk and especially loved the train ride to get there. Once, there, they visited the childhood in war exhibition where they saw a display of evacuees' important items that they chose to take with them during the World War II evacuation. They had to think of their favourite three items that they would take if they needed to be evacuated. They enjoyed seeing the old-fashioned toys, TV and phone and exploring the mock air raid shelter and evacuation trains.

They also explored the World War II section, where they saw real tanks, and World War II planes, such as an old spitfire. Lots of pictures were drawn and photos taken. This trip really captured their interest.

We were so proud of how they conducted themselves on the trip. They were a real credit to the school.

Well done Year 6!
