In our art learning, Year 1 have been looking at the work of Henri Matisse, and in particular his famous collage of The Snail. Inspired by his work, we first created a design for a snail collage, where we thought about the different materials we might use to achieve the effects we wanted. Then we created the actual collage, using a variety of different materials. Some of our final results were quite similar to the design, others came out rather differently - but we are sure you will agree they were all very striking and effective!
