Drama and more...

Lakeisha from Talking Tales (Polka Theatre) was back in our classes this week. The children had a fantastic time playing drama games focussed on oracy, and the tale of Little Red Riding Hood. They played Cross the Circle, Story Whoosh and took turns at being a newspaper reporter, focussing on telling the story from the different characters' points of view.

During our maths lessons this week, the children have been learning about fractions. So far they have learnt about a half, a quarter and a third.

We have been continuing our learning about the Lonely Sea Dragon, and have written a story map and described what the dragon looked like using adverbs, adjectives and expanded noun phrases.

In science, we have been looking at animals, including humans, and their offspring, and in PSHE we have been looking at medicines and how to be safe around them.

This week, we have also started practising for the singing festival in June and the Country Dance festival in July.  Correspondence about both will be issued nearer the time.

Thank you for your continued support.
