PANTS!

In PSHE this week, the children learnt about different parts of the body and discussed ways to keep themselves safe. As part of this learning, we introduced Talk PANTS, a child-friendly safety programme created by NSPCC.

Talk PANTS is a simple conversation that helps children understand that:

• Their body belongs to them

• They have the right to say no

• They should tell a trusted adult if something makes them feel worried or unsafe

The aim of these lessons is to give children simple language and confidence to talk about their safety.

To help support the conversations your child may have at home following these lessons, the NSPCC provides a helpful Parent’s Guide to Talk PANTS. This guide explains the key messages and offers tips for discussing them in a calm and age-appropriate way.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
