This week, the children have been revisiting their maths skills, focusing on addition and subtraction. They have been practising different methods and building their confidence when solving number problems.

In English, we have been working towards becoming writers by using interesting and exciting vocabulary. The children have explored how word choices can make their writing more engaging for the reader, and they have enjoyed experimenting with describing words in their sentences.

In science, the children have been observing the growth of their bean plants. They have been fascinated by watching the roots and shoots begin to appear, and were especially excited to see the first leaves starting to grow. It has been wonderful to see their curiosity and enthusiasm as they learn about how plants develop over time.
