This week in art, we explored the work of the famous artist Pablo Picasso. We looked closely at his distinctive style and then had a go at creating our own Picasso-inspired self-portraits. The children experimented with different shades and tones of blue and red to create their portraits.

In English, we have been learning about adjectives, verbs and adverbs and thinking carefully about how we can use them to make our writing more interesting and descriptive.

In maths, we have been learning how to partition two-digit numbers. We have been developing our understanding of how to bridge 10 efficiently when calculating.

We will continue our learning in English and maths, building on our work with descriptive language, partitioning numbers and bridging 10.
