Year 2
The Christmas Journey
On Tuesday, all of Year 2 walked to New Malden Baptist Church for our Christmas Journey experience.
The children were greeted at the door and invited into the church. They were given a booklet and asked to think of two things that are important to them at Christmas and one Christmas wish. The two classes then split into their respective groups. One group did a craft activity - creating a lovely Christmas tree decoration, whilst the others went on the journey to Bethlehem, to learn about the Christmas story and why it is important to Christians.
The children enjoyed learning about the story and shared what they knew and had learnt about Christmas. They represented King's Oak extremely well, both on the walk there and in the church. We are very proud of them all.
