Sensory Play
This week we have been finding new ways to explore and create in our art area. We started the week by making pasta bracelets. This encouraged the children to use their fine motor skills to thread the pasta onto thin string. We introduced a foil painting activity and the children used vibrant paints to create colourful masterpieces. We learnt the words smooth, shiny and crinkly as we explored this sensory activity and printed our hands onto the foil.
During our carpet time, the children had great fun learning a new song and actions to Ring a Ring o'Roses and the children enjoyed dancing together, holding hands and walking around in a circle. The children quickly learnt new vocabulary and joined in.
Next week we will be reading We're Going to the Doctor. This is a delightful story which explains what to expect when visiting the doctors.
