This week the children really enjoyed listening and learning about We're Going To The Doctors, which was our focus book this week. Leading on from our carpet time, we took the knowledge we had learnt and spoken about into the role-play area and set up a doctor's surgery. The children took on the roles of doctors and nurses and pretended to look after patients. 

The children listened to each other's heartbeats using stethoscopes, took each other's blood pressures and we measured each other using a measuring tape to see how tall we were. During this activity, the children shared their experiences of visiting the doctors and how they felt when they visited the doctors. 

In our creative area, our children made beautiful cards for Father’s Day for a special adult in their lives. We used colouring pens, glue and glitter in our designs.

Next week we will be reading We're Going To The Dentist. In this story we meet Nancy and Teddy, who are going to the dentist for the first time.
