This week the children enjoyed reading We're Going to the Dentist. They learnt how to look after their teeth and what to expect when visiting the dentist. We then played a game to practice brushing our teeth using a toothbrush. The children had great fun brushing the crocodile's teeth and counting how many teeth he had. 

The children love reading Animal Hide and Seek. This week in our builder's tray we set up our own farm. We added mud and lots of different farm animals. We learnt the names of farm animals and the sound they make, and we played alongside our friends, bringing the book to life. 

With the lovely weather this week, the children loved the water play area and splashing in the water to keep cool. We used pipes to build water runways and lifted and transported water in buckets and watering cans. 

Please can I remind parents to ensure that the children are wearing sun cream before coming to school and also provide a water bottle and a sun hat.

Next week we will be reading Pip and Posy. Pip makes a new friend and learns what it means to be a true friend.
