Pre School
Library Visit
This week we visited the school library. We are so proud of how well the children walked down the school corridors to the library. Once we arrived, the children learnt about the rules of the library, and then it was time to choose a book to read with a friend. We finished off our library visit by listening to a group story.
The children have chosen a book to bring home to share with you. Please could this be returned by Wednesday and we will swap the book for you.
We also had fun in a very messy cornflour activity which the children loved. We started by adding water to the cornflour until we made a gloopy consistency and then the children were ready to play. We used cups and spoons to mix the cornflour, and we were also able to make marks in the cornflour using our hands. We also encouraged the children to describe how the cornflour felt.
Next week we will be reading Clip Clop, which is a story about a cat, dog, pig and duck who want to ride a horse. But when they get bored with the slow pace, they ask Mr Horse to go faster and faster, but will "faster" lead to disaster?
