During our library visit this week, the children were really engaged, sharing books together, and we can now see that the children are really taking an interest in describing the pictures and understanding what they see. This week we read a story about emotions and children were able to identify emotions of happy, sad and angry and this lead to a great discussion of our own emotions. 

This week we have started to teach the children two of our Christmas songs in preparation for our Christmas performance. We are so impressed with how quickly they are starting to learn the actions. If you would like to support your little one at home by learning these songs, we have been singing 'When Santa Got Stuck Up The Chimney' and 'Jingle Bells'. 

In celebration of Remembrance Day, the children had the opportunity to paint their own poppies in our art area, which the children really enjoyed, especially when glitter became involved.
