We have had a great first week back. The children have been fascinated by the heavy rain and thunderstorms we have been experiencing, which has opened up lots of conversations about the weather. We listened to the rain as it tapped onto the shelter and used describing words to talk about the different sounds we could hear. We also learnt some new songs linked to rain. When the rain had stopped, we had great fun outside jumping in the puddles and exploring the environment which had brought out the snails. 

The children enjoyed spending time in our book corner and have been sharing books together. It has been lovely to see them beginning to recite familiar stories and confidently sharing them with the teachers.

Next week we will be reading Maisy Goes To The Library.
