Pre School

Being Creative

This week, the children have been very engaged in the art area. They have enjoyed creating colourful rainbows, beautiful feather pictures and drawings of their families.

This activity provided an opportunity for children to develop their creativity while also learning about our bodies. As they created their pictures, we talked about different body parts and asked questions such as how many eyes, arms and legs we have. These wonderful pictures have been put on display in our pre-school room. I'm sure, over the next few weeks, the children will create many more pictures that they will bring home to share with you.

Our creativity followed on to a group activity where the children were able to use chalk to draw together and have a shared experience with the teacher, in which we were about to start a conversation around mark making.
