Bonfire Night
We have had a fantastic first week back, and the children have been very busy exploring the exciting theme of bonfire night.
The children enjoyed getting creative with a fun firework painting activity. Using rolled-up paper, they made their very own colourful firework prints, adding a sprinkle of glitter to create a sparkle.
We also explored the different sounds we might hear on Firework Night, such as whizz, bang and pop. We also discussed the beautiful colours they might see lighting up the night sky, including red, blue, green, gold and silver.
Our firework fun then continued with some glittery mark making. The children explored making different marks and patterns in the glitter, helping to develop their fine motor skills and practise those important early writing skills.
Next week we will be reading a book about Diwali and making our own Rangoli patterns and tealight holders.
