Fun, Faith, and Forest Creatures!
We have had a very exciting and eventful week in nursery! One of the highlights was a special visit from a guest from Insight Kingston. The children listened with great interest as our visitor talked to us about the Christian faith, the Bible and helping us learn about churches and what they mean to people who follow the Christian religion. The children were full of questions and really enjoyed the opportunity to explore different aspects of faith and belief.
Outdoors, we had lots of fun rolling tyres around the garden! It was a great way to get moving and work on our coordination and teamwork. The children took turns pushing, chasing and balancing with the tyres, turning a simple game into a wonderful learning experience.
We also had a magical time reading The Gruffalo this week. The children were captivated by the story and loved talking about the different animals and creatures the mouse meets on his journey through the deep, dark wood. We used the story to spark our imaginations and even acted out parts of the tale together!
In our number work, we focused on the number four. We practised writing it in different ways and spotted it around the classroom and outdoor area. Through hands-on activities and games, the children began to understand what the number four looks like.
