Busy Little Hands, Big Hearts
This week, we have been learning about citrus fruits – lemon, lime and orange. We added them to our water tray so the children could touch, smell, and feel their textures. It was such a fun sensory experience! They noticed the bumpy skin, the juicy insides, and even the different smells.
We rolled up our sleeves and got busy in our nursery garden. The children helped clean up, pulled out weeds, and watered the plants too. They worked so well as a team and were so proud of making our outdoor space look lovely again. It’s great to see them caring for their environment.
We had some really thoughtful discussions about the difference between kind and unkind words and actions. We watched a video together to help us understand how our words affect others, and we linked it to our story of the week, Hope’s Braids. The children really connected with the story and shared great ideas about how we can all be a little kinder every day.
