Hello Autumn!

We have been busy exploring the wonderful season of Autumn this week! The children have noticed how the leaves are changing colour – turning beautiful shades of red, orange, and yellow before falling from the trees. We’ve also started to collect leaves to make a lovely Autumn collage, and the children are very excited to use their finds in our creative work.

We’ve been talking about the animals and insects we might see at this time of year, such as squirrels gathering nuts, hedgehogs getting ready for hibernation, and spiders spinning their webs.

As the weather is getting chillier, we’ve also been learning about the clothes we need to wear to keep warm: jumpers, hats, and coats! The children loved talking about their own favourite autumn clothes.

In our singing time, we enjoyed joining in with the Autumn Song and the cheerful Big, Red Combine Harvester song – the children sang beautifully with lots of smiles and actions.

A special thank you goes to our Little Helper of the Week, who worked very hard helping the teacher tidy up the shed. Well done!

We are really enjoying learning about Autumn together and can’t wait to see what more this season will bring.
