This week, we have been learning all about celebrations and focused on Diwali, the Festival of Lights!

The children were fascinated to hear the story behind Diwali and how it is celebrated with beautiful lights, fireworks and delicious food.

We also had lots of fun creating our own Rangoli patterns using rice and food colouring. The children loved experimenting with colours and designing their own bright and beautiful patterns, just like the ones seen during Diwali!

This week, we have also been reading “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle. The children enjoyed joining in with the repetitive story, learning about colours, animals and the sounds they make.
