Rainy Days and Learning Adventures
This week, we had lots of rainy weather, which provided wonderful learning opportunities for the children. They enjoyed watching the rain fall and listening to the different sounds it made. The children also had fun playing outdoors under the shelter, exploring the environment safely while experiencing the changing weather.
In literacy, we began reading the traditional story Little Red Riding Hood. The children enjoyed listening to the story, talking about the characters, and predicting what might happen next. We will continue to explore the story through discussions and activities in the coming weeks.
In mathematics, we focused on the triangle shape. The children identified triangles in the classroom and outdoor environment and explored their properties by counting the sides and corners. They enjoyed creating and recognising triangles through a variety of hands-on activities.
It has been a busy and enjoyable week full of learning, exploration, and discovery.
