Welcome back to the last half term before Year 1! We hope you all had a wonderful break and we really enjoyed welcoming the children back to school.

This week we have been looking at The Disgusting Sandwich, and teaching some vocabulary in the story. We also have a science experiment going on to see how quickly food turns rotten! Maybe this is something you could do at home, if it's not too disgusting! The children have been using their ever-growing writing skills to explain what they find disgusting. 

In maths we have been using counting equipment called Rekenrek, which are an abacus style counting tool that goes up to 20. The children are utterly loving using them so if they start talking about Rekenrek that's what they mean!
