Happy new year everyone!

It has been so lovely welcoming the children back into school and hearing about their time off from school. They have been excited to see their friends and play with them again.

This week we are reading the story "Lost and found". It's a story about a boy and his penguin and how they become friends. It's also set in Antarctica for parts of it, which means we can talk about the weather we are having in a practical way!

In maths we are learning about number composition beyond 5 this week and we have been using dice to help us see patterns and subitise numbers quickly.
