The Gigantic Turnip!

Another busy week!

In literacy, we enjoyed reading the story The Gigantic Turnip. The children loved joining in with the repeated phrases and discussing the different characters in the story. We talked about teamwork and how everyone helped to pull the enormous turnip out of the ground.

In maths, we have been focusing on number bonds to 10. The children used ten frames to help them explore different ways of making 10. By placing counters in the frames, they were able to see how numbers combine, such as 6 and 4 or 7 and 3. This practical approach helped them understand how numbers work together to make a whole.

Just a reminder about the farm visit coming up soon. Please make sure you have responded to the email that has been sent out.

And a request: If you would like to donate any recycling for junk modelling, we would welcome boxes of any size, for example, cereal, tissue and shoeboxes.

Thank you very much for your support.
