The children have really enjoyed practising for our year group assembly, which will take place next Thursday. They are working hard and are looking forward to sharing it with you all.

This week we have also been learning about different types of weather. The children were particularly fascinated by the thunderstorm, hail and lightning we experienced and enjoyed discussing what they had observed.

In literacy, we have started reading our new story, Billy and the Dragon. Through the book, the children have been thinking carefully about what it means to be a kind friend and how we can show kindness to others.

On Thursday, we had a very special assembly where we met a real-life gladiator! The children were excited to learn about his experiences and enjoyed asking him questions. Have a look at Tapestry to see photos.
