Reception

Holly Lodge
This week, the children enjoyed an exciting school trip to Holly Lodge in Richmond Park. They took part in a range of hands-on activities, including pond dipping, searching for insects using magnifying glasses, and making their own bird nests. The children particularly enjoyed learning about natural habitats and exploring the wonderful wildlife around them. Have a look on Tapestry to see all the lovely photos.
Back in the classroom, we have continued working on our story, creating story maps and writing independent sentences to retell key events. The children have shown great enthusiasm and creativity in their writing.
In maths, we have been learning about doubles and practising our recall of double facts through a variety of fun activities and games.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our year group assembly. We were incredibly proud of all the children for their confidence, enthusiasm and hard work. We hope you enjoyed watching the assembly as much as we enjoyed sharing it with you!
Have a lovely weekend.
