In maths this week we started by looking for objects that were big and small. Then we began to find objects around the room that were heavy and light.

The children sorted objects by whether they thought they were heavy or light. Then they compared different objects using a balance scale and predicted which would be the heaviest. 

The children learnt a song all about heavy and light - ask them to sing it to you!

Next week we will continue to compare mass and look at standard measures.
