Year 3

Stone Age inspired art

In history, we have been learning about the Stone Age. As part of our learning, we created some hand-printed art. We learnt that during the Stone Age, hand prints were left inside caves. This could have been done by either placing paint directly on their hands and pressing down or by placing their hand on the wall and paint being blown around using an object like a straw. We recreated four types of hand prints. First we drew around our hand and went over the outline using paint. Another way we created a handprint was with paint. The other two were created by drawing around our hand on different types of paper and cutting around them.
