In geography, Year 3 have been learning all about settlements. We explored what people need to survive, including food, water and shelter. We discussed why people choose to settle in different places. We also looked at how settlements have developed and changed over time. To put our learning into practice, we designed and created our own settlements, using a key to represent important features such as houses, shops, roads, rivers and parks. The children enjoyed using their creativity while developing their map reading and geographical skills!
