Year 4

Eggcellent eggsperiments in Year 4!

This week, in Year 4, we investigated tooth decay using eggs to replicate tooth enamel. We placed eggs in different liquids, including coke, milk, orange juice and water to see what might happen to our teeth over time.

Over several days, we carefully observed the eggs and recorded the changes. The results were illuminating! The coke mostly stained the egg, while the orange juice caused the egg to begin breaking down much more, showing how acidic drinks can affect our teeth.

Next week we will be carrying out another experiment as part of our science learning, this time focusing on our stomach and the digestive system.

Year 4 would like to wish Eid Mubarak to everyone who has been celebrating. We hope you have had a wonderful time with your family and friends.
