Year 4

Art, science, and a few ‘ewws’ along the way!
Year 4 have had a fantastic and exciting week to end the half-term! In art, we explored the work of William Morris and created our own beautiful patterns. We learnt how to design prints that could reflect, repeat and rotate, and even made stamps to bring our ideas to life. The results were colourful and creative!
In science, we took part in a fun (and very messy!) experiment all about the digestive system. There were lots of giggles—and a few “ewws!”—as we pushed our ‘food’ down the ‘oesophagus’ and through the ‘intestines’ to see how digestion works. It was a brilliant hands-on way to understand the process.
We also had a special visit from a dentist, who taught us all about looking after our teeth and gums, as well as what it takes to become a dentist. We learnt so many interesting facts and even discovered what to do if a tooth gets knocked out!
What a wonderful way to end the half-term! We hope you all have a fantastic break. Please take some time to practise your timetables ready for the upcoming test, and don’t forget to use Soundcheck to help track your progress.
See you all soon, Year 4! ✨
