This week in Year 4, we have been learning about coordinates and developing our map-reading skills by learning how to use an atlas. The children enjoyed locating different places and using coordinates to identify specific locations.

We also started our six-week workshop on resilience, where we have been exploring what resilience means and how we can develop strategies to overcome challenges and keep trying when things become difficult.

In maths, we have made good progress with the column method, practising how to set out calculations correctly and developing our confidence with written methods.

Next week, we will continue developing our understanding of column subtraction in maths. In English, we will begin a new unit based on Escape from Pompeii, exploring the text and developing our reading and writing skills through the story.
