All the children in Reception enjoyed their visit to Holly Lodge this week.  The children were really excited travelling by mini bus through Richmond Park - we even spotted a deer in the distance!  There were many activities centred around different species of birds and their habitats.  The children demonstrated their bird nesting skills  gathering wood and straw from the surrounding woodland which was great fun!  They were so engaged in the bird watching activity, trying to spot a robin or a sparrow, fly down to eat the meal worms and bird seed.  Finally, everyone made their own bird feeders using pipe cleaners, apricots and cheerios - yummy!
