The children have enjoyed our new text, Jack and the Baked Beanstalk. They have looked at similarities and differences between the traditional tale and the new story. They have also acted out a few of the scenes in small groups. 

In maths, the children have been concentrating on subtraction using 10's and 1's and using a number line. 

In science, they planted cress seeds. This was an experiment, to check for the most suitable conditions. Will cress grow better in sunlight or without...

In RE, the children have started to learn about what Easter means to Christians. 

Next week will be subtracting in maths, crossing the 10's boundary. 

In English, we will be honing our hot seating skills and pretending that we are the friendly Giant from our new book.
