Year 2

Year 2

The children have enjoyed a very creative week. First they looked at primary, secondary and tertiary colours on a colour wheel. Then they studied tone and hue in either red or blue. After that, we read a story called 'Picasso's Trousers' by Nicolas Allan, and using the book as a stimulus, along with their knowledge of colour mixing, they then drew a face in the style of Picasso (looking both side and front on). The children were asked to either use the blue or the pink colourway. The results were incredibly effective.
