Year 2

Country dancing, DT, computing and more

Year 2 will be part of the Kingston Primary Schools Country Dancing Festival this summer, so we have started our practising. So far the children have listened to two of the pieces of music and learned one of the dances called Galopede; a dance in longways formation. The children all seemed to really enjoy learning the first dance, and made great efforts to learn the steps.

In computing, the children have been learning about coding. They have used Scratch and, if you would like to access it at home the address is www.scratch.mit.edu - I am sure they would love to show you what they are able to command the software to do.

Finally, on the Friday before half-term, the children complete their Tear Thief vehicles, we will send them home soon. If you feel like dontating the wooden wheels and axles back, when you're ready to throw it away, we would be most grateful.

We will continue with Jack and the Beanstalk in English, and then move on to Jack and the Baked Beanstalk by Colin Simpson by the end of next week.
