Year 4

Art, art, art!

This week, Year 4 were lucky enough to have a whole day of art! We studied a Victorian artist called William Morris who we found out was known for making very popular prints including nature, which some Victorians even had as wallpaper. We started the day off by identifying what kind of patterns he uses in his work and how it is all symmetrical. We then played around with some patterns and rotated them until we were ready for our final designs.

Once the designs were finished, we copied them onto card, and added string onto the card with PVA glue. We then added paint to the string and used this to print our images, in the style of William Morris!
