Year 4

Insulator or conductor?

In science, we continued to investigate electricity further this week. We learnt that in order for electricity to pass through, the material must be made out of metal in order for the electricity to conduct. We learnt that insulators do not allow electricity to pass through and to test this, we made circuits and tried adding different materials to the circuits to see if electricity could pass through. This is when we made the conclusion that conductors must be made out of metal, or they are insulators. The paper clip and the foil worked best!
