Year 5

Pollination and Coronation

This week in Year 5, we have made links with our previous learning of the parts of a flower to understand pollination. We sorted the process of pollination in order, and we understood that the petals are a significant part that attracts pollinating insects. These insects play a crucial part in carrying pollen around and forming seeds for reproduction. The ovary and ovule form the seeds and through seed dispersal more flowers are formed.

Moreover, we enjoyed preparing ourselves for King Charles III's coronation this weekend, and engaged in various craft activities and sampled a range of food. For some of us, it was our very first time trying croissants and scones!
