Year 5

Mental Health Week

This week is mental health week. We have been learning about how sleep is a very important part of maintaining good mental health. We have made a mind map about sleep and how to ensure we are getting enough. We were amazed to find out that we need between 9 and 12 hours sleep a night! We have looked at why we need sleep and what we can do if we find it difficult to get to sleep. This includes making sure we have a good sleep routine. This involves calming down and unwinding at the end of the day. To practise this in class, we learnt some meditation techniques. Hopefully, we will have a very restful half-term next week.
