The magic of the theatre came to King's Oak this week. The amazing Polka Theatre company performed their adaptation of Romeo and Juliet for pupils in Year 5 & 6. This is the first time they have performed this production outside the walls of the Polka Theatre in South Wimbledon so means a world premiere for King's Oak! A cast of 4 actors bought Shakespeare's classic to life albeit with a few changes. This was a musical affair with the soundtrack heavily influenced by rap, hip hop, R & B and beat boxing. I am sure the Bard himself would have approved of the changes. The children were enthralled. Thank you to the parents who have already passed on the feedback of how much their children enjoyed this experience.
