Year 5

The British Museum

This week, Year 5 were lucky enough to visit the British Museum. We visited all the rooms that had Ancient Egyptian artefacts in them. There was a lot to take in but everyone was fascinated by the things we saw. From the Rosetta Stone to a 5000 year old "sand" mummy and everything in-between we got to experience so many amazing objects "in the flesh". Not only were our minds expanded but also our physical wellbeing was looked after too: by the end of the day we had completed more than 15,000 steps. On that note, I would like to thank all the parent/carer helpers that made this trip possible. This is by no means the last trip for Year 5. Next week we start our swimming sessions at Combe Hill infants school. If you are able to help with walking the children to and from the pool each Friday, please speak to a member of the Year 5 team.
